October 30: Honoring Our Ancestors

Guidance of the Ancestors. “Those who have died are never, never gone,” so sings Sweet Honey in the Rock, capturing that sense that the lives of those who have come before us continue to guide us as our lives unfold. Please join Rev. Leslie Takahashi, Acting Assistant Minister Ranwa Hammamy, Intern minister Jim Lewis, and Chaplaincy Institute seminarian Cynthia Davis as we honor this sacred connection. This is our annual All Souls service. All are invited to bring photographs or remembrances of loved ones who have died. Those who have lost a loved one to death in the last year are invited to arrive 15 minutes before ach service if they would like to process with a candle.
