Beautiful Location for Weddings

The Mt. Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church in Walnut Creek

offers a beautiful and convenient setting for weddings. Located on a hill overlooking the Diablo Valley, it is ideal for people of all faiths and beliefs, as well as for inter-faith or secular ceremonies, as it has no traditional religious symbols. We welcome same-sex ceremonies. The entire site is wheelchair accessible, there is free Wi-Fi access, and a small changing room is provided for the bridal party.

Special Wedding Package Available

Our co-ministers and other affiliated clergy may be available to officiate at your wedding. You can have your wedding performed by one of our ministers, or another person of your choice. A special wedding package of $1200 includes the use of the Sanctuary for the ceremony and rehearsal, reception in Bortin Hall, dressing space and access to entire campus for photographs.

Fellowship Hall for Receptions

The new BortinFellowship Hall, with an adjacent kitchen, is ideal for the reception. We have several alternative plans for seating 200 at round or square tables. Bortin

Hall offers a view patio overlooking the redwood grove, a dance floor, a changing room for wedding participants and direct access to the main church patio (for outdoor receptions). The kitchen has complete facilities for catering.

Fellowship Hall kitchen is pictured left. For small weddings (and lower cost), an alternative site is the Brick Patio and redwood gazebo set between the church's education buildings [not pictured].

All spaces are handicapped accessible, and use of the building includes parking in our lot, which has 125 parking spaces, including 5 handicapped. Additional parking is available along Eckley Lane.
