Administrative Resources Fisk Phelps-- Works with Administrator and Ministers on issues related to office procedures, equipment, data management, building use, etc..
Arts Dee Simmons-- Makes formal recommendations to the Board of Trustees concerning acceptance and placement of artwork and furnishings in the church.
Bookstore Carole Woods--Sells books of interest to Unitarian Universalists. Members help with the bookstore table on Sunday mornings.

Paul Damrow-- Plans and coordinates the annual stewardship drive (the canvass) in the Spring to support the ministries and work of the church.

Caring
Scott Schrader and Witsie McKelvy-- Serves members and friends in times of need, with meals, rides, visits and other support.

Chancel Guild Beth Snortum--Plans and arranges for flowers and art to enhance our Sanctuary for Sunday morning worship.

Committee on Ministry**
Connections Sue Polgar, interim chair-- Monitors and evaluates the ministries of the Church and advises the Board and the Ministers.
Denominational Connections
Connections Bill Yarborough-- Links to the Pacific Central District (PCD), the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA), our Partner Church in Transylvania and other UU organizations. Recommends delegates for PCD and UUA General Assemblies.
DRLE Support**
Bonnie Reyes, Lili King and Jean Wilcox-- Works with Director of Lifespan Religious Education (DLRE) and serves as liaison between DLRE and the congregation.

Finance Pam Kappelhof-- Reviews and makes recommendations on the financial affairs of the church. Also coordinates the scrip program, church investments, bonds and notes.
Firestarters Sue Polgar and Fisk Phelps-- Fosters outreach and "evangelism" for the church through publicity, website content and membership development.

Kitchen Kathryn Wellington-- Coordinates kitchen supplies and maintenance and recommends projects to keep kitchen up-to-date and efficient.
Lifespan Education and Programs
(LEAP) – ith action groups that address the needs of all age groups, providing social activities, classes and learning experiences in a variety of formats, settings, and times.

Leadership Summit
– Convener, Board VP Stephen Reyes-- Chairs or representatives of all committees meet twice a year to facilitate communications, receive leadership training, set goals and plan programs.

Legacy Don Anger-- Solicits money for our endowment and capital funds and manages the proceeds.
Membership
Les Polgar-- Encouraging "Radical Hospitality," members greet and welcome newcomers, plan newcomers' parties, Path to Membership Classes and new member recognition.

Memorial
Melissa Allen and Elisabeth Andreason-- Maintains memorial gifts to the church and keeps records regarding gifts.

Music Music - Bonnie Reyes-- Supports the music program of the church, plans musical programs and fundraising, and acts as a clearinghouse for music activities. .
Newsletter Beverly Bortin-- Publishes our biweekly newsletter, The Beacon, for members and friends; available by mail and on line at mduuc.org.
Nominating** Dan Barnard The committee nominates candidates for Board of Trustees, the Legacy Committee and Nominating Committee.
Personnel** Bob Foxall and Nancy Rivara Handles employee matters, performs reviews and makes recommendations on salaries. Serves as liaison between the staff and the congregation.
Social Action
Patrice Curtis-- Serves as clearinghouse for social concerns, including involvement in local, national and international issues.

Special Events Kathryn Wellington and Paul Damrow--Oversees planning and production of social fund raising activities.
Technology Dennis Iverson and Kevin Hsieh-- Design, implementation, integration and maintenance of the church's computational, telecommunication and audio visual systems..

Worship
Associates Rotating Leadership-- Helps with planning Sunday Services not led by minister; Associates assist in all Sunday Services.

Book Discussion Bill and Joy Hicks-- Meets first Tuesday each month in people's homes. New participants welcome.
Choir Mark Tuning-- Rehearses Thursdays at 7:30 in the Sanctuary; welcomes all who love to sing or want to learn.

David Takahashi Morris-- Meets 2nd Wednesday at 10 am in the Children's Chapel, for personal exploration.

Meditation Ludell Deutscher--Meets Sundays at 9:15 am in the Fireside Room. Supports silence with Tibetan bells, chants and songs. All are welcome.
Men's Breakfast Group Dick Cheatham and Art Sturgess Meets 2nd Saturday from 9 to 11 am in the Children's Chapel for light breakfast, check-in and topical conversation. Open to men of all ages.
Open Women's Group Dolores Olson and Jean Geyer Meets 1st Thursday at 10:30 am in member's homes for potluck lunch and discussion; occasionally meets at church; open to all women..
